From Brick Kiln to Classroom

In many brick kiln communities across Pakistan, children are born into labor before they ever enter a classroom. Their hands are shaped by bricks, not books. Their future often seems decided before it begins.
This reality is deeply personal to me. During ministry visits, I met children who had never held a pencil or opened a book. Instead of schoolbags, they carried bricks. Many believed education was not meant for them.
In 2012, God placed a clear vision on our hearts—to move children from brick kilns into classrooms. That vision became The Knowledge Zone School. It was more than a school; it was a place of hope, dignity, and transformation.
I remember a child who worked daily in a brick kiln. When he first came to school, he could not write his name. Today, he can read, pray, and dream about his future. His life changed because faith was expressed through action.
Education breaks chains. It interrupts generations of poverty. It reminds children that their lives have value and purpose. When education is combined with faith, children begin to see themselves not as laborers, but as individuals created by God for a greater purpose.
Every child who moves from a brick kiln to a classroom is a testimony of God’s transforming grace. This work is not ours alone—it is God working through compassion, obedience, and love.

“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18).
